John Jones aka The Jones is a singer/songwriter from Brooklyn New York.
John Jones is a graduate of LaGuardia High School of Music and Art located in Manhattan. While there John Jones studied drama and later went on to appear in shows such as Law & Order, New York Undercover, Bad Lieutenant with Harvey Kietel to name a few.
Whether in front of the camera or with a microphone in his hand, John Jones delivers! Naomi Sang Karaoke is his latest single and it’s available on all streaming platforms.

Naomi Sang Karaoke is a modern pop banger with a retro 80’s feel. It has a Michael Jackson, George Michael meets The Weeknd kind of vibe. It’s smooth and it knocks at the same time. It slaps! U
Are there any challenging aspects to writing and/or recording your music?
I don’t sing it if I don’t mean it. It’s gotta be real or inspired by a real thing. I approach my writing and singing like a hip hop artist approaches their craft. I’m singing about real life. I’m singing about love found and love lost. This is real life, not a game.
Has your style evolved since the beginning of you career?
I’ve definitely evolved musically since the beginning. Everything must change, nothing stays the same. I’m much better at my craft now. Life happens. Feel me?
What do you enjoy most about being a musician?
I enjoy the feedback from the listeners. I’m always trying to come up with things they’ll enjoy. It’s a joy to have people discuss my thoughts, lyrics, and concepts. It’s addictive.
Playing live or recording in studio? Do you have a preference?
I really enjoy the creative process. It’s the studio for me!
Do you have a preference… vinyl records, cassettes, CDs, or downloads?
I miss going to the store to buy the latest CD, reading the credits, and liner notes. It’s CD’s for me! LOL!
Tell about a magical moment or positive experience that has happened through music.
I have a friend who has a child who has Autism. He was telling me that his child loves singing my music. That’s magical and a moment I’ll never forget. They’ve never seen their child react that way to music.
Are there any musicians who inspire you? What qualities do you admire about them?
Michael Jackson is my favorite artist. I’ve always admired the way he lived on his own planet and followed no one. He taught me to be creative and inspire. Don’t follow the crowd but blaze your own trail.
Would you like to travel to other countries to perform your music? If so, what would be your first stop?
Yes, I would love to travel to others countries to perform. I’d love to go to France, The United Kingdom, and anywhere they welcome me and my music. I want to travel the world singing my songs. That’ll happen for me, I truly believe it will.
Are you currently working on any projects we should look out for?
Black Belushi will be my next single. It’s going to be a number one smash hit. I’m speaking it into existence. “Black Belushi” coming in a couple of months. Stay tuned.
